  • Carefully remove the packaging from your chair, avoiding the use of any sharp instruments that may cause damage to the fabric.
  • All of our beautiful upholstered chairs conform to the very strict UK standards for domestic fire retardancy.
  • Velvets can be prone to pressure marks but most of these can be simply removed by lightly steaming and then using a soft brush if required.
  • If you need to clean your upholstered furniture, always carry out a pre-test on your fabric swatch or on an obscured part of your furniture. Spot cleaning is recommended as quickly as possible with a dry absorbent cloth or kitchen towel. Tougher marks may be very lightly sponged with a weak solution of soap and lukewarm water (no heavy rubbing please). Please avoid using too much liquid as it can result in watermarks and can potentially discolour the fabric dye.
  • Regular hoovering with an upholstery nozzle will keep your upholstery in top condition or you can even try a soft, clean upholstery brush.
  • Try to minimise the position of your upholstered furniture from heat, humidity and direct sunlight where possible.
