RTS Loves: 5 French Inspired Pieces

Paris is the city of love and with Valentine’s day coming up we’re looking to the French for our bedroom inspiration. At the heart of it, French inspired style is chic, feminine and ranges from the luxurious to the understated. It’s no wonder that French style never goes out of fashion with it’s subtle, elegant touches that make a room ooze glamour and beauty without being too in your face. So, in lieu of Valentine’s day we’ve selected 5 pieces we love that will help you to achieve a classic French-inspired bedroom with a little help from our Vezere collection

Taking inspiration from the French country style, this Vezere bedside prays homage to the French neoclassical charm. Made from Birch and Plywood, this bedside table will fit right at home in a room filled with pale hues, soft fabrics and vintage features.

To match the Vezere bedside, we’re seriously loving the grand Vezere bed. The stunning headboard with ornate wood carvings really brings the essence of a French country farm into your bedroom. Upholstered in a pale cream fabric with buttons, it’s sure to command attention as the focal point in your French inspired bedroom.

French style is known for making a statement whilst being understated and the Allier Mirror strikes the perfect balance. It’s large and grand but is finished in a subtle silver that doesn’t grab your attention right away. The ornate detailing captures the eye without needing to be flashy

The right rug has the power to bring a room together and make it feel more homely. This pale pink Helle Rug is a beautiful shade and can add to the overall colour theme of your French inspired bedroom; a dusty, pale palette brings the essence of Paris in Spring. To tie everything together, you may wish to accessorise with the same colour palette, an upholstered chair, perfectly placed cushions or artwork hanging from the wall would work well.

And finally, your French boudoir is not complete without a dressing table with an upholstered stool, such as the Comino Dresser pictured. Don’t be afraid to include different textures throughout your home; adding a white piece of furniture can really break up all the delicate colours without making too much of a statement.
